Video CV

I think that the music was too loud and I did not speak clearly enough, however, I think that the lighting and mise en scene was good. I could have had a more interesting background though which I might do on my next video CV. I really liked my mise en scene because of the neutral background, but I might change the background so that I am facing a window giving better lighting. I have tried to memorize my script so that it looks more natural.

Peer feedback for video CV

1.png

I agree with this as I did not speak clearly enough, and on top of that, the music was too loud so it was hard to hear me. (example 0:20 - 0:25) I think I should also speak louder or add an external wired microphone from my phone's headphone jack. I also could have used a Bluetooth microphone, but I do not own one.

2.png

The results for this question were very spread out, but according to the survey, I should keep my video editing and lighting the same, and also talk more clearly as no one stated that clearness was a strength.  1/3 of the people thought that I should keep the video editing the same.

3.png

Once again the results were nearly 50 / 50 but no one said that I did not really look professional. people said I was average or mosty professional, which means that next time I will either keep the same outfit or wear a more professional outfit.

4.png

Most people could understand what i was saying, but people said the music was too loud which I agree with. (example 0:10 - 0:20)

5.png

Most people thought that what i was saying was relevant to my CV but some of it was unfocused, meaning I should maybe talk more about the subject at hand and not start talking about other things. for example at 1:10 - 1:15 i talked about re-editing and re-filming where as I could have left that out as it was obvious that I would re edit a video for a second draft.

the editing is good and I liked the idea that you added music.

You need more lighting, but your use of words is really good.

WWW: Very client-focused. Good music. you look "cool" the black shirt was a good choice. EBI: all extra videos and images must be your own. Avoid using too many "uuummmmms." Could you find a more interesting background?

I would like to see you wearing a professional outfit and if you chose a different setting and might make your video more interesting for watching.

I really like the idea of using music in the background but as I mentioned before try to make it a bit quieter.

Rehearse so you sound more confident

The camera quality and angle could use some improvements.

I think you could've positioned your camera better and I think your editing is really good

You can tell when you are reading from your script. Try putting the point you forget on a sticky note and stick it next to the camera so it is less obvious when you are reading from notes.

The pacing and camera angle. I like the editing where you added videos to give context to what you say

6.png

People who filled out my survey thought that the editing was good and that it was very client-focused, however, I could find a more interesting background and positioned my camera better. I should also try to memorize what I am going to say because it looks like I am reading a script. The camera angle is something i should definitely change.

I made 2 CV examples that I might want to use, however after this I decided to make another one which is the one I am going to use (see below) I really liked the colours of the one on the bottom and I wanted it to represent my brand.

A1 work

This is my presentation for A1 where I talked about my initial idea, I chose this piece of work because I think that the watcher can get a sense of my ideas and what I hoped to achieve when creating media for A1. In this video I explained exactly what I wanted to do and how I was going to do it, factoring everything that was needed.

a1 r1.png

This is my proposal for the smile campaign, I decided to show this so that the reader can get an idea of the resources and technical resources that were available to me, and also get to know my client and what their needs were. This also helped me stay on track and focus on what I had left to do with what resources.

sssds.png

This shows my case study on BBC worldwide and how I learnt about the different types of data (quantitative and qualitative) and when to use each one. I found making this very useful as I then knew how to conduct market and audience research properly.

brugb.png

This is my mood board for A1 and it shows the locations I was planning to go to film, as well as some general ideas for my final product. I chose this because it can give people insight into how I was thinking before actually creating the final media product. I wanted to stick to the brief while also showing dubai, as not many people get to see it.

A2 work

Screenshot 2021-06-23 204205.png

This is one of my final posters for A2, and I chose this as an example of my work because I wanted to demonstrate how i can use a picture, edit it and create it into an intriguing poster that would make my audience want to read it. I also wanted to show the logo I made and also the fonts I used. I think that the image I used in the background of my poster was pretty good, but the layout of the text and logo could have been better.

I also think that the font was too bold and should have been changed.

This is the video for my initial idea for A2, I chose this because i wanted to convey my ideas clearly to the watcher, and make them see where i got my ideas from. I also wanted to demonstrate how i put some information into graphs to make it easier for my audience to understand.

2.png

This is one of my test shots for A2, I created it by taking a picture of a plastic bag in the sand, duplicating the photo, cutting out the plastic bag from the second photo, blurring the 1st photo, and putting the unblurred plastic bag on top of the blurred one on the first picture. I decided to show this piece of work to demonstrate how I can edit a picture that could be used for a poster.

These three posters are posters that I had done initially, and I really liked the styles and graphics that i had created. I also really liked the big red bold title and kept that in my future posters. However, i did not like the amount of text that was on the posters and did not write as much on my other posters. I did however keep the fish logo and used it as the plastinction logo for my other posters.

A3 work

In this video, I explain my initial idea and how I was going to execute it. I also explained things related to the final product such as my contingency plan and why I thought making this was important. I tried to make my audience understand why I was doing what I was doing and how it was beneficial to the final product.

Screenshot 2021-04-27 091011.png

This is my shot list where I explain each shot. I chose this so that the reader could gain a deeper understanding of how I was trying to create this video on road safety. I also wanted to explain the different types of shot that I would use and also make the reader imagine how the video would look just by reading the description and shot types/

risk assesment.png

This is my risk assessment for A3 where I talk about what dangers could be present and also how I could prevent them. I chose this to explain how I looked after my actors' safety and also to show that I had plans for if something went wrong. I told each one of my actors to follow the risk assessment to make sure that they were safe at all times.

Screenshot 2021-02-21 105428.png

This is my Moodboard and with this I tried to show my thinking for this project and how they were all related. I had many different ideas for this project and I ended up going with one that I thought that all of my audience could relate to. I think that it is very important to make your content relevant to your audience as when they relate to it, it will have a bigger impact on them.
