For example, in A1, the final product took me around 1-2 hours to edit, and in it, I included a lot of different people.

Unsung Heroes
How i interpreted the brief
Everyone doing this project was given a simple brief: film the unsung heroes as they were having a breakfast which celebrated their achievements. The idea for this came when parents could not come into school because of Covid-19, and the people organizing unsung heroes had to find a way on how to include the parents in this celebration; each person was assigned a year group and then each person made a video which was later sent to the parents. However, after only 1 day of celebrations, we were faced with a dilemma, The breakfast was canceled due to social distancing reasons. Because of this, our brief had changed slightly. We now had to go to each classroom and take a picture of the students with their certificates and make a video with it.
I think that I made my video different by overlapping the pictures of the students over the voice of Mrs. Bartlet while she was explaining the unsung heroes. I also added a picture of each year 10 student that was present on that day meaning that no student would have felt left out when watching the video. I also added an introduction with the GEMS logo and then the Wellington logo on a white background to make it look professional. I also tried to pick some uplifting music that would fit the unsung heroes award ceremony. Overall, I feel that if I had a longer deadline I could have filmed more footage and edited more of the video.
What I think makes my video distinct and different than the others is that I kept the voiceover of the teachers while putting the pictures, which not many people did. I also re-tuned the audio so that it would not be too loud or quiet. I tried to make it fit into my "brand" where I made a professional-looking intro with transitions.
I really like the style of this portfolio and the overall feel of it. I also really enjoyed how the work was displayed and how easy it was to find out more about the person, and what projects she was associated with.
These are the 2 creative portfolios that I have researched.

The layout is also very Instagram - like, giving the user a familiar user interface. This makes it easier for everyone to know how the website works. I also really like how she displayed all of her pieces of work on her home page, which means that it is the first thing that you see. Also, I feel like you can get a feel of what type of person she is just by her website, and it is really easy to contact her for further inquiries. I think that for my portfolio i would follow her design, with all final pieces of work on the front page and all drafts and explanations on other pages, this could include my mindmaps, video cvs and other things such as location recces and contingency plans. I would put my A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B4 final product on the front page.
I really enjoyed the bold colors and fonts on this website, it was very outgoing but still easy to figure out. This person also added a lot of information on each piece of their work which made it easier to know more about those projects. I think that I would like to follow this style of website for my CV. The website was very inviting and intuitive, and you could find all of her work easily on her website.
The fact that she had a homepage where you do not see the work straight away was also good as you have time to see other sections of the website before seeing the final products, on my website i would have different sections, for example one for school work and one for personal work.

In terms of schools, I have also looked at SAE here in Dubai and also SAE in the Netherlands, since I do not want to go to university my choices are reduced. I have also looked at JPSS in Japan and the school of media in Paris. On unifrog, most suggested schools need you to have been to university first which I am not planning to go to.
